#93 Breaking Chains

They strung me along using sleight of hand
Pulling me back up when I couldn't stand
But what am I to do when the torture ends
When I break the chains and I'm free again?

I wandered the path like an empty ghost
Hovered at the edge, didn't get too close
Then along you came with blood red rose
That's the thing that gets to me the most.

My heart was a grave for the world to see
You thought grace was enough to change me.
What I thought always was, had never been
Even without chains I will not be free.

      1. It just started off hitting the mark, just started off with exactly what you wanted to say. A bit more aggressive. That’s just my opinion, I absolutely loved it.
