Some stories start with happily ever after
And end with once upon a time
The story that makes you burst with laughter
Might be the one that makes you cry. 

My story begins where their stories ends: 
A soulful, good-bye kiss
I wish I could tell them what happens next
That forever may not be bliss

That we'd have our victories and losses
Joys and pain and strife. 
That whenever bad times got us
W'd not be in each other's lives

But we would still get through it 
If not side by side
Whatever it took, we would do it
Once upon a time.
