The water laps the shored
Like a kitten drinks milk. 
The sand under my feet
Is as soft as silk. 

The cliffs overhead
Reach down like hands
Trying to touch
The silky white sand.

The gulls, loud and white
Scream at the cliffs as they fly through the air
Telling those hands
That the ocean is theirs!
