#6 A Walk in the Woods

Birds dance and sing
To the music of the wind.
The sun shimmers through the trees
Like a big disco ball.

I look at it all
Through my heart and not my eyes
I feel the cold river with my soul;
I don't just touch it with my hands.

The flowers explode
Into rainbows and jewels.
The grass is like a fluffy carpet
That the flowers lie on.

I drink up the sun
And kiss the sky.
And the rain hugs me
Because it is one of my truest friends.
