Smile, Okay?

Come closer, I'll smile, okay?
I promise I don't bite
I smile so you won't see
What should stay out of sight
What if you see me?
What if you guess my plight?
What if you're able to see
How much I fear the light?
My smile isn't real, you know
It's not something I can fight
I only hide behind the mask
To try and kill the fright
That look in your eyes
That says I'm not right
I'm the captain sinking with this ship
Holding on with all my might.
Maybe if I smile less
You'll help me tonight
So don't believe what you see
Don't believe in me. Alright?
Goodnight.
