#3 My Love

His clear, bright smile
Is the sun that lights up
The green sea of his eyes

And his cobalt hair
Is the velvety dark
Of a perfect night

Even if the night
Doesn't stay dark
The sun never sets and the sea stays green

Wherever he goes
My love, my true love
Will always come back home

  1. I wrote this poem in fifth or sixth grade. I just can’t even. How extra were you as a middle schooler? Do you have a book of poems about the kids you had a crush on? One that you would die if your crush actually read them?
