in a life thats never the same
where you can be flying high one minute and on your knees the next day
its nice to have a rock to stand on when things go from perfect to wrong
when the river ain’t flowing your way

i came here as fast as i could when i heard you crying
i havent been here like i should but now there’s no denying
you can talk to me as long as you want
and even if it’s after dawn

so we cried for a while i couldn’t quite believe my ears
i reminisce about my wedding day that’s still so clear
he lifts my veil and takes my and hand
and wipes away my tears and says

so i dragged her to church on sunday

Jesus died for me and you, and he’s still here today

a week later she told me before she’d fallen asleep that night
she heard a Voice and with it came a beautiful light
she didn’t know what to do
but the Voice said “I love you”
