I’m a deeply flawed and tangled-up human with a mission to put more good into the world. I love writing, social justice, and sharing ideas with others. I love exploring and meeting new people! My journey includes motherhood at 19 to my beautiful son, struggles with mental health issues including ADD, PMDD, SAD, PTSD, BPD, and general anxiety. Physically, I have glaucoma and Marfan’s Syndrome, so don’t be shocked when you meet me in person and you have to crane your neck up to look into the eyes of this 6’1″ gal. I’m a Francophone Haitian-Canadian adopted by loving parents and raised in a very small town in Alberta. I lived on various farms until I was 18, when I lived in a town for the first time! Don’t believe that I can speak much French, though – even though it’s my first language I’ve seriously gotten out of practice.

I’ve been writing since I was in Kindergarten, and helping others with their writing (even ADULTS!) since I was about 12. I’ve always been involved in leadership since preschool, and started working with charities in seventh grade.

Since I was raised in a VERY white town, I didn’t know much about t black people for a long time, so that was a bit strange. I’m also learning what it means to be a child of God, and how to deal with the weird chemical alphabet soup in my head.

I’m also the founder of various initiatives and startups. The very first one that I still remember to this day is the Rose Fairy Club that I started in Kindergarten that I, of course, was the president of.

Since then, I’ve started and abandoned many projects, and I’ve learned a lot from each one. In general, my life’s dream has always been to change the world in a big way, and now that I’m older, I think my experiences have put me on the right track.
